I joined the National Defence Academy right after my schooling and after passing out from The Indian Military Academy at the age of 19, I was commissioned into the 61 Cavalry, the only horse cavalry regiment in India. I served 31 years in the Army and was also the Commandant of 61 Cavalry. Besides being one of the foremost players of Polo in the country for more than two decades, I was also Instructor at the Indian Military Academy and the National Defence Academy. I was awarded Arjuna Award for Polo in 1985, and this game gave me even more opportunities to interact with varied personalities across the globe. I have actively played and competed in Polo, Show Jumping, Eventing, Cricket, Golf and Hockey and believe that sport is one of the foundations to build and display character.

After retirement from The Indian Army in 1994, I was asked by my friend, the late Mr. Sudhir Mulji, who was then the Vice Chairman of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited, to establish their real estate division in Delhi and Northern India. Starting from scratch, the division became one of the most prominent names in the real estate industry after delivering landmark commercial complexes for eminent multinationals like Motorola, Ericsson, Cisco Systems, Intel, Microsoft, CSG Systems, BT Aerospace and British Telecom. Till 2003, I was Senior Vice President and North India Head, Mahindra Gesco Developers Limited, New Delhi, formerly Real Estate Division of the Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited.

I have pioneered professionalism and excellence in the real estate industry, which initially was largely a disorganised sector by developing landmark buildings like The Great Eastern Plaza – Bhikaji Cama Place, The Great Eastern Centre – Nehru Place, The Great Eastern Regency – Gurgaon, The Central Park – Gurgaon and GurgaonOne, the premium eco-friendly residential complex in Gurgaon and the Golf View Corporate Towers, the state-of-the-art commercial complex that houses Ernst & Young’s Corporate Office in India.

As Managing Director of Alpha G:Corp, besides incorporating the glorious culture of honour and accountability in the company, I constantly seek the best ways possible to pioneer the best practices possible in each of our projects and transactions.

I started my professional career in 1983 after obtaining my Degree in Civil Engineering from the Institution of Engineers, Calcutta. Since then, I have been involved in practically every sphere of the real estate business including feasibility, analysis & acquisition of properties, project concept development, liaison and approvals, construction and project management. I consider myself fortunate to have been appreciated and felicitated for my efforts towards excellence, pioneering global practices and enhancing reliability in the real estate business.

I am a founding member of Alpha G:Corp. My prior experience includes functioning at key managerial positions with some of the leading real estate developers namely, The Ansal Group, Technology Parks Ltd., DLF Industries Ltd., and Mahindra Gesco, earlier known as Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (Real Estate division). Presently, my professional expertise lies in handling legal aspects related to construction and real estate activities, along with legal documentation of property acquisition, joint ventures and collaboration agreements.

As Director and CEO of Alpha G: Corp, I steered along with the management team, the exclusive agreement with global financial major, Morgan Stanley to divest equity worth Rs. 300 crores (US$ 65 million). I also adapted into Alpha G: Corp the globally practiced asset management model in real estate, which was a first by any real estate company in India. I now propose to take forward this durable model by adapting it to build and deliver shelters for the public at large.

I believe in prioritizing the enhancement of stakeholders’ equity in the company by constantly adding value. As for our valued customers, I consistently propagate incorporating innovative development practices to provide the ideal working and living environment for our buyers, not just in their lifetimes but also that of their successors. As a forward-looking professionally managed company, Alpha G: Corp’s projects are sold out ahead of schedule. This is a fact that provides us with the extra incentive to constantly innovate and improve with each development that we undertake.

Ms. Rashmi Sen: General Manager – Marketing & Sales

I started my professional career in 1998 after completing my Masters in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management in Mumbai. Since then, my professional tenure has covered practically every nuance of marketing and sales. I have in the past 11 years successfully handled strategic marketing, advertising, business development, media planning, corporate events and administrative roles in companies like Mahindra GESCO and J Walter Thompson before becoming a member of the Alpha G:Corp team in 2004.

Looking at each project as a profit centre, I am closely involved in all market and consumer driven research and planning for the Brand Development of Alpha’s delivered and upcoming developments. The upcoming projects at present include the Alpha International City developments (3 upcoming Residential Integrated Townships respectively, in Karnal, Kurukshetra and Fatehabad, with combined total development of 450 acres) and AlphaOne Mega Retail (2 upcoming Mixed-Use City Centres in Amritsar and Ahmedabad, with combined total development of 3.2 million square feet).

Mr. Bijay Bhusan Rath: DGM -HR & Administration

I started my professional career in 1995 after my Masters in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from the Department of PM & IR, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Since then I have been involved in every sphere of long term and short term HR strategies. My focus is to always align overall business strategies with motivated teamwork. I believe that management support and motivation of the staff helps in attaining the organization’s goals and objectives while also facilitating professional and personal growth of employees. I have in the past 14 years successfully handled strategic and administrative roles in Domino’s Pizza India Limited, Sharda Motor Industries Limited and Howrah Jute Mills Limited in India before joining the Alpha G:Corp team in 2005.

My main thrust at Alpha G:Corp so far has been to foster impeccable team spirit, the motivation to deliver as well as incorporating fruitful and enduring rewards programs.

Ms. Richa Chowdhary: Manager – Customer Relations Management
